Yale UniversityRejectedMy essays were personal and my awards were unique. I have a spike in cybersecurity that can be rare to find. I live in an underrepresented area as well.
I chose experiences that really affected who I am as a person. The essays I wrote reflected who I truly am as a person and were not simply written to impress admissions officers.
Competing in competitions was something that I had not thought about much until my junior year of high school. I would have done more competitions and applied to more scholarships.
The hardest part was thinking of the best ideas for my essays. Choosing the best teachers to write my recommendations was hard as well.
